Jawatan Kosong Teacher in Cyberjaya

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Needs Teacher to support young children (ages 2-7) with diverse developmental, physical, and intellectual needs.

This role combines nurturing educational experiences with hands-on caregiving, including toileting assistance and the teaching of essential life skills. The ideal candidate will create an inclusive, adaptive environment that promotes growth, independence, and dignity for every child.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement individualized, developmentally appropriate activities tailored to the unique needs of children with disabilities, fostering growth in cognitive, motor, social, and emotional areas.
• Provide direct support with toileting needs, including diaper changes, potty training, and personal hygiene assistance, ensuring comfort and adherence to health and safety standards.
• Teach and reinforce critical life skills such as self-feeding, dressing, grooming, and communication (verbal or non-verbal), adapting methods to each child’s abilities and goals.
• Collaborate with parents, therapists, and special education staff to align classroom activities with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) or similar frameworks.
• Monitor and document each child’s progress, adapting strategies as needed and sharing updates with families and support teams.
• Maintain a safe, sensory-friendly, and organized classroom environment, accommodating mobility aids, adaptive equipment, and behavioral supports.
• Use positive behavior management techniques to encourage engagement and address challenging behaviors with patience and understanding.Qualifications:
• Experience working with young children with special needs, such as autism, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, or developmental delays.
• Proficiency in assisting with toileting and personal care tasks, with sensitivity to each child’s comfort and privacy.
• Knowledge of special education strategies, adaptive teaching methods, and child development principles.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with families, therapists, and colleagues, and to connect with children using verbal, visual, or alternative communication methods.
• Physical ability to assist with mobility, lift up to 50 lbs, and manage adaptive equipment as needed.
• Compassion, patience, and a commitment to fostering independence and inclusion for children with special needs.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM1,800.00 - RM3,000.00 per month
