1. Utilize diagnostic equipment and tools to identify mechanical, electrical, and electronic problems in vehicles.
2. Perform necessary repairs and maintenance tasks on vehicles, including but not limited to engine repairs, brake system repairs, transmission repairs, suspension repairs, and electrical system repairs.
3. Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and filter replacements to ensure vehicles operate smoothly and efficiently.
4. Test drive vehicles after repairs to ensure proper functionality and identify any remaining issues and conduct final inspections to verify repairs are completed correctly and vehicles are safe for operation.
5. Document all repairs, maintenance tasks, and diagnostic findings accurately. Maintain detailed records of services performed, parts used, and time spent on each vehicle to track maintenance history and ensure compliance with regulations.
6. Communicate effectively with customers to understand their concerns and explain repair options and costs clearly. Address customer questions and concerns professionally and courteously to ensure a positive experience.
7. Stay informed about advancements in automotive technology, tools, and repair techniques. Participate in training programs and workshops to enhance skills and stay current with industry standards and best practices.
8. Follow safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries in the workplace. Handle tools, equipment, and hazardous materials safely and responsibly.
