The role covers general finance/accounting, taxation, audit, treasury with a special emphasis on FP&A and Compliance, covering SEA. It reports to a Senior Finance Manager, APAC based in Shanghai, China and leads a team of 11 (with 6 direct reports), as per the team structure below. Required: At least 10 years of General Finance/Accounting experience from a Manufacturing MNC plus Business Partnering, FP&A, Compliance and at least 5 years of team leadership experience. Mandarin skills. Willingness to travel to SG (primarily) or other SEA countries (rarely) - once per month for about a week each trip. Costing experience is NOT required. The ideal candidates should come from US-based MNCs of similar size (about 200 headcount) in Malaysia, with full-spectrum accounting and finance experience. Candidates from very large MNCs are not preferred, as their roles tend to be overly specialized rather than being end-to-end.
