We are looking for a proactive and meticulous EHS Supervisor for our newly established factory in Seremban - Sendayan Techvalley for the underground load & haul equipment. In this position you are primarily responsible to support the environment, health and safety of the factory and its employees’ ensuring sustainability and compliance.
- Responsible for establishing and developing Seremban factory EHS policies and activities
- Involve EHS risk management, continuous improvement and the function of reporting systems
- Act as occupational health and safety supervisor at the Seremban factory, as well as the company's representative in work groups related to safety and other EHS areas
- One of your main tasks is promoting and renewing the safety-first culture
- In addition, you initiate safety-related development projects at the Seremban factory in cooperation with other Sandvik production units and global EHS organization
- You cooperate with both internal and external partners such as production, warehouse, logistics, quality and health care providers and local authorities
- Support on sustainability related planning and actions
- Actively communicate between the functions and the factory organizations.
- Responsible for adequate resources, ensuring material availability and scheduling
- Compliance with instructions and organizational practices at work
- Taking EHS and Quality requirements into account at work
- Ensure Sandvik Way of Working procedures are in place and always adhered to
- Familiar with and able to use mechanical & electrical assembly tools
- Has user level experience with ERP system and MS office applications is seen as advantage
- Teamwork skills, discipline work and proactive approach to work
- Meticulous to quality requirement and EHS procedures
- Battery technology background considered an advantage
Your background and what we find important This role would be ideal for someone looking for a new challenge and further become an expert in the EHS & Governance area. As a person you have excellent communication and customer service skills, able to follow instructions and deliver as required, able to work in a team as well independently with minimum supervision, fluent English speaking with a minimum of 5 years of experience in heavy machineries assembly / manufacturing environment or equivalent, familiar with risk management, knowledge of ISO management system/standards and experience as a trainer is an advantage.
