• Charge man Certificate of Competency from Suruhanjaya Tenaga an advantage.
• Minimum Chargeman AO Certificate.
• Formal Education at SPM level or other similar qualifications.
• A minimum of two years of experience in the maintenance of heavy electrical equipment and mechanical equipment like HVAC, PCW, RODI, CDA, fire alarm system, standby gen-sets, PABX system, etc.
• Possession of technical certificates will be an asset.

• Responsible during his shift duty to maintain a continuous supply of utilities in the plant. In the event of a partial or complete supply interruption he must determine the cause and take immediate action to correct the fault and reconnect the supply. If the interruption originates from the supply authorities he must alert the responsible department and determine the estimated duration of the shutdown. The production department and other support departments must then be advised.
• Enforce the safe practices and observations of electrical safety measures and precautions.
• Implement and execute energy saving programs effectively and timely.
• Responsible in ensuring that all machines and other electrical equipment are functioning satisfactorily and make entries in the appropriate log books.
• Responsible in correcting any facilities equipment breakdown and analyze how to prevent them in future.
• Be proactive in the day-to-day shift activities to ensure no utilities or equipment breakdown that affect manufacturing operations.
• Issue electrical safety permit-to-work certificates to electrical contractors.
• Good understanding in local applicable laws, any regulations or procedures, standards/codes and ensure compliance in the work area.
• Encourage workers and or to report any kind of violations relating to labor, ethics and EHS.
• Other duties as assigned and instructed or directed.
