Jawatan Kosong Project Liaison Officer Agriculture in Cameron Highlands

Role Summary

The Project Liaison Officer is the primary link and engagement between our high-tech agricultural solutions and the current farming communities. You will lead the "First Phase" of our projects: entering the community, building relationships with farmers, and collecting data and information to obtain full clarity and ability for us to audit their current practices. Your insights will directly shape the strategic solutions we offer, ensuring our modern greenhouse technologies are tailored to the actual needs and realities of the growers.

Key Responsibilities

1. Preliminary Engagement & Trust Building

• Community Entry: Conduct initial outreach and town-hall-style meetings with highland farmers to introduce modern greenhouse concepts.
• Relationship Management: Act as the dedicated point of contact for farmers, addressing anxieties regarding the shift from traditional to modern methods.
• Advocacy: Communicate the economic and environmental benefits of Agritecture technology in a way that resonates with local values and goals.

2. Field Data Collection & Auditing

• Current Practice Baseline: Conduct detailed on-site assessments of existing farming methods, including irrigation habits, fertilizer types, pest management, and labour structures.
• Resource Mapping: Collect data on local micro-climates, water source reliability, and soil health to inform the engineering team’s greenhouse design.
• Economic Data: Gather information on current yields, crop cycles, and market prices to help build a comparative "Before vs. After" ROI model for the farmers.

3. Strategic Solution Development

• Insight Reporting: Translate field data into strategic reports for the Project Manager, AgTech team and R&D team, highlighting potential roadblocks or unique local opportunities.
• Customized Recommendations: Assist in tailoring "modernization roadmaps" for individual farmers or cooperatives based on their specific land constraints and financial capacity.
• Feedback Loop: Regularly relay farmer concerns or suggestions back to the technical team to ensure the solution being built is user-centric.

4. Documentation & Compliance

• Stakeholder Database: Maintain a rigorous record of all farmer interactions, consent forms, and data points collected during the preliminary phase.
• Progress Reporting: Update management on the "Readiness Level" of the community to adopt new technologies.

Required Qualifications

• Experience: 3+ years in Agricultural Extension, Rural Development, or Sales/Consultancy within the farming sector.
• Education: Degree in Agribusiness, Rural Sociology, Agricultural Science, or a related field.
