To assist the Electrical Engineer by providing guidance and in-depth training to both direct and indirect reports. This position is essential during key operations such as FCE rebuilds, major plant shutdowns, and project site installations, with a strong emphasis on detailed planning and risk management

• Maintain a high level of safety throughout the execution of all normal routine maintenance, furnace rebuilds and Instrumentation plant projects including contractor management relating to safety requirements
• Planning, active participation and successful completion of all Instrumentation aspects of plant related maintenance projects and furnace rebuild projects.
• To maintain, increase availability and enhance the performance of the plant and equipment through world class maintenance practices implementation.
• Actively mentor and coach the Assistant Manager Instrumentation Maintenance and snr Technicians. During plant projects and re-builds, coach them on industry standards pertaining to best practice maintenance methodology.

  • A trade certificate (Instrumentation) obtained from an accredited training facility. Additional maintenance supervision qualification and/or courses attended.
  • Minimum 15 years of working experience in a smelter maintenance environment. Forman/Specialist level supervision experience in maintenance and projects.
