Jawatan Kosong Port Operations Supervisor in Bintulu

WHAT IS ON OFFER

Alfred H Knight is looking for an experienced Port Operations Supervisor (Draft Surveyor) to be primarily based at Bintulu Port, Sarawak, Malaysia. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for conducting inspections and sampling of incoming biomass deliveries via road trucks. Your duties will include performing draft surveys and hold inspections of biomass shipments, as well as overseeing physical field testing to ensure quality standards are met. You will also supervise a team of Field Operators, ensuring that all activities align with client requirements. This position requires a hands-on, flexible, and practical approach to manage the operational demands successfully.

To be successful at Alfred H Knight you will need to display the following:

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND WORK EXPERIENCE

Required Work Experience

• A minimum of five years’ experience in a draft surveying environment.
• A minimum of five years’ experience in a testing and inspection environment. Preference

will be given to candidates with previous supervisory inspection experience, specifically

experience of sampling, preparation and physical test requirements, all within an ISO 17025

/ISO 17020 environment.

• General supervisory experience covering staff supervision, operations supervision, client.
• liaison and business administration activities.
• Valid and current drivers licence is essential.

Required Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Geomatic and Surveying.
• Tertiary qualification in a science field. This requirement may be substituted for experience

on a year for year basis.

• Intermediate level of computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential.
