About the role

As a Chef de Partie at ASIA PACIFIC PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT SDN. BHD.', you will play a crucial role in the kitchen operations of our renowned restaurant in Kuching, Sarawak. This full-time position is responsible for leading a team of junior chefs and ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality dishes to our discerning customers.

What you'll be doing

• Overseeing the preparation and cooking of all menu items in your assigned station or area of the kitchen
• Supervising and training junior chefs to ensure they meet the company's high standards of food preparation and presentation
• Collaborating with the Head Chef to develop new menu items and refine existing recipes
• Maintaining a clean, organised and efficient work environment in your station
• Adhering to all food safety and hygiene regulations
• Assisting the Head Chef in inventory management and cost control

What we're looking for

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Chef de Partie or equivalent role in a high-quality restaurant or hotel kitchen
• Strong technical skills in food preparation, cooking and presentation
• Excellent time management and problem-solving abilities to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Passion for creating innovative and delicious cuisine
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills to guide and develop junior chefs
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations
