Job Description

• Assist with the preparation of ingredients, ensuring they are washed, cut, and organized as per the recipes and instructions
• Follow recipes and cooking methods to prepare a variety of dishes to the expected high standards
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering to all health and safety regulations
• Communicate effectively with the kitchen team to ensure the smooth running of operations
• Restock and replenish ingredients and equipment as needed
• Participate in menu planning and development as required

Requirement

• At least 1 year of experience in a professional kitchen environment, preferably in a Commis or entry-level culinary role
• Strong practical cooking skills and the ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately
• Good communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with the kitchen brigade
• Attention to detail and the ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization
• A keen interest in food, cooking, and the hospitality industry
• Relevant culinary qualifications or certifications would be an advantage
