Overview

The Assistant Dormitory Manager supports the Operations Manager in managing the day-to-day operations of the migrant workers’ dormitory. This role combines administrative, operational, and resident welfare responsibilities to ensure the dormitory operates smoothly and meets the needs of its residents. The ideal candidate has strong organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, with a focus on maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, resident engagement and welfare responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily dormitory operations for smooth and efficient functioning.
• Develop, implement, and ensure compliance with operational policies.
• Coordinate maintenance, repairs, and room inspections for cleanliness and hygiene.
• Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Foster a positive living environment and address resident concerns.
• Enforce dormitory rules and resolve conflicts to maintain safety and order.
• Support Operations Manager in managing dormitory staff, including recruitment and training.
• Guide staff and contribute to their development and training.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Building/Facilities Management, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in operations or facility management in a supervisory role.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and good computer literacy.
• Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance standards is a plus.
• Training in fire safety, emergency response, first aid, and AED is advantageous.
• Manage resident databases, applications, and check-in/check-out processes.
• Prepare and submit reports (weekly, fortnightly, monthly) accurately and on time.
• Assist in developing and implementing emergency response plans.
• Respond to emergencies and crises as needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM4,500.00 per month
