Jawatan Kosong Shift Supervisor in Port Dickson

Job Summary:

The Shift Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the power plant during their assigned shift. This role ensures that the plant operates efficiently, safely, and in compliance with all regulatory requirements. The Shift Supervisor coordinates maintenance activities, monitors plant performance, and responds to operational issues to ensure optimal power generation and delivery.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible to supervise and coordinate the activities of the shift team, and ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the power plant.
• Monitor plant equipment and systems, including turbines, generators, boilers, and control systems, to ensure optimal performance and detect any unusual occurences.
• Assist to enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and procedures, conducting regular safety checks and responding promptly to any safety incidents or emergencies.
• Analyze operational data and trends to identify opportunities for performance improvements, cost reductions, and increased efficiency.
• Ensure that all operations comply with relevant environmental, health, and safety regulations and industry standards.
• Work closely with the maintenance team to schedule and oversee preventive and corrective maintenance activities, minimizing downtime and ensuring equipment reliability.
• Prepare and submit detailed shift reports, including operational data, incidents, and any issues that occurred during the shift.
• Lead the shift team in responding to operational emergencies, including power outages, equipment failures, and other incidents.

Qualifications:

• Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Power Plant Technology, or a related field is preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in power plant operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of power plant systems, including turbines, generators, boilers, and control systems. Proficiency in monitoring and diagnostic tools.
• Proven ability to lead and manage a team, with strong communication and decision-making skills.
• Deep understanding of safety regulations and best practices in the power generation industry.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly assess situations and implement effective solutions.

Working Conditions:

• The role requires working in a rotating shift pattern, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• The environment includes exposure to high temperatures, noise, and industrial hazards.
• Must be physically capable of performing job duties, including standing for long periods and handling emergency situations.

Job Type: Contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: RM5,000.00 - RM7,000.00 per month
