DAILY TASK

• Support materials sourcing activities.
• Maintain data base on sourcing outcome.
• Manage costing, quotation and negotiation with suppliers.
• Track supplier performance.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Sourcing

• Identify, evaluate and select local and global suppliers, and set-up standards and processes for contract negotiation, price benchmarking, quality control and periodic auditing.
• Establish a fast-response, competitive sourcing team to support the Sales organization.
• Participate in project planning process to assure material readiness to support business need.
• Strategic expansion of supplier network to find alternative sources and drive local sourcing effort to minimize cost.
• Manage supplier relationship and be the point of escalation to resolve any cost, quality, and delivery issues.
• Identify continuous cost reduction opportunities to meet Company cost savings targets.

Costing / Quoting

• Review incoming customer RFQs for eligibility, technical specifications and completeness of Bill-Of-Material, and contact customers directly for missing or unclear information.
• Provide Sales with accurate RFQ cost calculations in-line with company standards.
• Optimise selection of suppliers to offer lowest possible cost at acceptable MOQs and payment terms.
• Review complex RFQs with the Engineering team, and contact customers for verification if needed.
• Analyze data to identify process improvements and set KPIs to increase quote accuracy, shorten response time, and improve customer satisfaction.
• Effectively lead, motivate and manage performance of all department staff by setting annual goals and personal development plans, and by conducting quarterly staff reviews.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

• Degree in engineering, business, or similar discipline required, with at least 5 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management.
• Experience in equipment fabrication and/or construction industry is preferred.
• Thorough understanding of sourcing methodologies and frameworks.
• Solid analytical skills, with good knowledge of cost analyses
• Strong negotiation skills.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical & electronics products, and ability to analyse bills of material and drawings will be added advantages.

Working hours: Monday - Friday

Entitle for OT Rate 1.5 (Normal Working Day & Off Day)/ 2.0 (Public Holiday & Rest Day) / 3.0 (Rest Day on PH)

Contribution of EPF, Socso & EIS. Annual Leave, Sick Leaves and Other Special Leaves under company.

SALARY RANGE IS BASED ON EXPERIENCE.
