Jawatan Kosong SAFETY & HEALTH OFFICER SHO - SEMPORNA, SABAH in Semporna

To ensure that an organization is in compliance with health and safety legislation and regulations related to occupational safety & health act (OSHA 1994, FMA 1967 and etc.) and contract requirements.

Job Responsibilities:

• Thoroughly review and validate safety plans, procedures, and risk assessments for project to ensure they meet required safety standards.
• Monitor and inspect safety conditions at project sites and office locations, ensuring compliance with local regulations, guidelines, and legal requirements.
• Provide support for construction projects in Malaysia by coordinating with relevant authorities (JKKP, Health Department, CIDB, Fire Department, etc.) to address and resolve any site-related issues and close all notices promptly.
• Prepare detailed Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) reports to document safety performance and compliance.
• Responsible for compliance to authority requirement on safety matters.
• Submit a monthly report to Project Manager on occupational health and safety at workplace.
• Conducting safety induction to all workers at site and instilling safety awareness to all personnel.
• To identify high risk area and potential safety hazardous.
• Construction sequence and take measures to mitigate the risk.
• Assist in the investigation of incidents occurred and submit reports to management where necessary
• To assist any officer in carrying out his duties under the Act or any Regulations made under the Act.

Job specification:

• SPM / Diploma / Degree in Safety & Health (in HSE related field).
• Registered safety & health officer with DOSH (JKKP)
• To enhance competency requirement as SHO with DOSH.
• At least 3 years working experience in HSE field.
• Experience in safety & health requirements at project site.
• Experience in managing project related to scope of works i.e Infrastructure, building, high-rise & etc.
• Good knowledge on legal & regulations related HSE i.e. Osha 1994, FMA 1967 & etc.
• Competent in others HSE certificate will be added advantage ie. scaffolder, tmo, lifting supervisor & etc.
• Knowledge in OHSAS 18001 or ISO 45001 is an added advantage.

· Proactive, good communication & written skills and problem-solving skills.

· Good leadership, independent, dedicated, cooperate, teamwork, ability to works under pressure & hard work.

· Familiar with computer software i.e word, excel etc.

Job Type: Contract
Contract length: 24 months

Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM5,500.00 per month
