Jawatan Kosong Accountant Business Intelligence Analyst in Kuching

JOB SUMMARY

1) Budget & Budgetary Control

• Collaborate with the Manager to establish systems and processes for the timely and accurate preparation of monthly management accounts and budget reports.
• Support the annual budget-setting process, provide guidance to budget holders, and conduct variance analysis and reporting.

2) Financial Operations

• Oversee core financial operations, including accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, cash flow management, month-end and year-end closing, audits (annual and ad hoc), tax planning, and finance-related functions such as tender evaluations.

3) Business Intelligence (BI)

• Apply business intelligence and data-driven tools such as business analysis, simulation, data mining, data visualization, and sustainable business models to support strategic decision-making.
• Partner with management teams to ensure accurate costing and financial feasibility of projects, courses, and initiatives.

4) Digital Transformation of Finance Operations

• Contribute to the virtualization and digitalization of finance operations to improve efficiency, transparency, and accuracy.

5) Financial Planning & Compliance

• Implement financial strategies aligned with the Campus Plan.
• Drive continuous process improvements through workflow reviews, policy updates, and system enhancements.
• Lead strategic planning within the FBA Unit, while managing risk and ensuring compliance with financial and legal regulations.

6) Stakeholder Engagement & Customer Service

• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to design, document, and implement effective processes that enhance service delivery.
• Actively participate in cross-functional projects and teams to support organizational objectives.

7) Financial Reporting

• Prepare and deliver timely, accurate financial and performance reports, including key financial indicators, to enable informed decision-making.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or a related business discipline from a recognized institution.
• Professional qualification in ACCA, MIA, MICPA, or CIMA is required.
• An additional degree in a computing-related field is an advantage.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in a commercial or audit environment, with at least one year in a supervisory role.
• Proficiency in business intelligence tools such as Power BI, Tableau, UIPath, Python, etc.
• Strong foundation in business analysis, budgeting and control, forecasting, internal controls, process optimization, and risk management.
• Excellent report writing skills with proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM6,000.00 - RM8,000.00 per month
