Jawatan Kosong Procurement Specialist in Itam

A motivated and self-driven individual who has purchasing experience in long and flat steel - for the market of ASIA. You will be the person responsible for searching mills suppliers or others in this region. You will be the person to successfully assist in the material supply by providing offers and perform market analysis. Here, you're encouraged to bring your best ideas and act on them. You have the freedom, trust and support to experiment and solve complex challenges.

Responsibilities:

• Receive and compare offers from various companies for the relevant product demand
• Negotiate the best payment terms and prices from suppliers
• Developing and sustaining effective supplier’s relationships to assure a competitive position in the marketplace;
• Assist in order process, quality assurance, and purchasing contracts;
• Orders after approval from the director;
• Perform suppliers’ evaluations;
• Perform statistical studies and trends on the market
• Visit suppliers and establish
• Attend conferences and fairs

Qualifications:

• Previous working experience in Purchasing area in the Steel Industry in ASIA for 5+ years
• Expertise and knowledge of commodity suppliers in Asian region
• Applicable knowledge of trading prices and terms and conditions
• In-depth knowledge of market research, data analysis and purchasing best practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Problem solver with a strong analytical mindset
• Outstanding organizational and time management skills
• Fluent or Professional English (mandatory)
