Job Summary:

Responsible for ensuring the safety and security of guests, staff, and hotel property by monitoring security operations, enforcing safety procedures, managing risks, responding to incidents and emergencies, and assisting the Security Manager in daily operations and compliance.

Core Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and enforce security and safety policies, procedures, and standards
• Ensure compliance with local laws, safety regulations, and organizational policies
• Conduct regular risk assessments, safety audits, and security inspections
• Identify potential hazards and security threats and recommend preventive measures
• Monitor access control, surveillance systems, and alarm systems
• Coordinate with external agencies (police, fire department, emergency services) when required

Safety Management

• Implement workplace health and safety programs
• Conduct safety training, drills, and awareness programs for employees
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses; prepare detailed reports
• Ensure availability and proper use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
• Monitor fire safety systems and emergency evacuation procedures

Security Operations

• Supervise security guards and third-party security service providers
• Prepare duty rosters and ensure adequate security coverage
• Handle theft, vandalism, trespassing, and other security incidents
• Control visitor management systems and ID verification processes
• Secure company assets, premises, and confidential information

Reporting & Documentation

• Maintain records of incidents, inspections, and compliance reports
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly security and safety reports
• Recommend improvements based on incident analysis and audit findings

Emergency Response

• Act as a first responder during emergencies and crisis situations
• Coordinate evacuation, rescue, and emergency response activities
• Ensure emergency equipment is functional and accessible

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Safety Management, Security Management, or related field
• Relevant certifications (NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, Fire & Safety – preferred)
• 2–5 years of experience in security and safety roles
• Strong knowledge of security operations and safety regulations
• Good communication and leadership skills

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM2,300.00 - RM2,900.00 per month
