hands-on operation, monitoring, and maintenance of industrial wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs or IETS) to ensure strict compliance with the Malaysian Environmental Quality Act 1974 and associated regulations.

Plant Operation & Monitoring: Operating and monitoring the systems and equipment (pumps, blowers, tanks, etc.) in the industrial effluent treatment system (IETS) to ensure optimal performance.
Compliance & Reporting: Ensuring that the final effluent discharge consistently adheres to the standards set by the Department of Environment (DOE). This also involves preparing and submitting reports and communicating with the DOE.
Performance Monitoring: Conducting performance monitoring activities which include collecting wastewater samples, performing basic on-site testing (like pH and dissolved oxygen), and evaluating the monitoring data.
Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Performing routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment, responding to alarms, breakdowns, and implementing corrective actions for common upset situations in the pollution control system.
Chemical and Inventory Management: Monitoring and maintaining sufficient stock of chemicals and spare parts required for the ETP's operation.
Safety & Health: Adhering to standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety rules, and environmental regulations to ensure a safe and healthy working environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM4,300.00 - RM4,500.00 per month
