We are seeking a highly capable and driven Finance Manager – Financial Planning & Analysis to join our finance team. This role will be pivotal in leading the team to provide strategic financial guidance, analysing performance,
collaborating with other departments, and reporting insights to senior management.
The ideal candidate brings a balance of strong financial acumen, operational expertise, and excellent communication skills. You will be expected to work cross-functionally and act as a trusted finance partner to the business supporting and influencing key decisions across departments
About the job
Key responsibilities
Financial modelling
Developing and maintaining financial models for budgeting, forecasting and strategic planning.
Analysis
Conducting in-depth analysis of financial data to identify trends, assess performance against plans, and provide actionable recommendations.
Budgeting and forecasting
Leading the annual budget process and preparing regular forecasts (monthly and quarterly) for revenues, expenses, balance sheet and cash flow.
Reporting
Preparing accurate and timely management reports, variance analysis and presentations for senior management and other stakeholders.
Strategic partnership
Collaborating with leaders across various departments (e.g. products, marketing, business development, operations) to align financial goals with business objectives and support decision making.
Process improvement
Continuously evaluating and improving FP&A processes, tools, and systems to increase efficiency and accuracy.
Team leadership
Managing, coaching and mentoring a team of analysts, fostering their professional development
To be successful
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance; professional certifications (e.g. ICAEW, CPA, ACCA) preferred.
8 - 12 years of relevant experience in accounting/finance, ideally within a financial institution or regulated environment.
Experience in financial modelling within the financial services industry is a strong advantage
Excellent communication and presentation skills to explain financial data to non-finance stakeholders.
Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel and/or financial reporting tools (e.g., Power Query, SQL, Google sheets etc.).
Self-motivated and adaptable to fast-paced, evolving environments.
Prior experience in fintech, payments, or other financial services
