Responsibility:
● Implement and enforce the Company’s HSE policies and procedures to ensure effective and efficient HSE management and promote development of a healthy, safe and environment friendly work culture.
● Conduct and promote HSE awareness, knowledge and information to all parties engaged at the site through toolbox meetings, trainings, briefings and any appropriate communication media and/or engagement activities.
● To maintain and update a comprehensive database of accidents, statistics and root cause analysis. To analyse the statistical data and prepare and provide monthly / quarterly / annual reports for management information, future planning and decision making.
● To advise employers on the measures to be taken in the interests of safety and health.
● To inspect the place of work to determine any hazard liable to cause bodily injury.
● To investigate any accident, near miss, dangerous occurrence, poisoning or disease.
● To assist the employer of the SHE committee in organising and enforcing SHE program me.
● To coach the safety and health committee in HSE inspections.
● To collect, analyse and maintain accident / incident statistics.
● To establish and maintain harmonious rapport and liaison with DOSH, DOE, BOMBA, local authorities and other related Government agencies.
● To carry out any other instruction made by the employer on any matters pertaining to safety and health at the workplace.
● To enforce safety rules and regulations according to safety procedures requirements.
● To attend safety daily meetings with other external providers and clients prior to HSE matters.
● Ensure permit to work are in place before any work of significant risks are carried out.
● To notify state JKKP (DOSH) in case of fatality and to complete full report in required timeline.
● To adhere to the company’s health and safety system
Supporting Tasks
● To implement Company General Rules, Regulation at all times.
● To ensure and monitor all planned activity are carried out efficiently complying with ISO 9001: 2015, ISO 14001: 2015, ISO 45001: 2018 and 5S requirements.
Competency Requirements:
● At least a diploma in engineering or architect or construction-related fields, and attended site safety supervisor courses at training centres registered with DOSH, and have passed site safety supervisor examinations managed by NIOSH or institutions recognized by DOSH.
● Registered with JKKP (DOSH) – Yellow Book holder.
● Possess a diploma or Degree in Civil/ Environmental engineering or related discipline.
