Jawatan Kosong Quantity Surveyor QS in Ipoh

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of building and civil engineering projects, ensuring they are completed within budget and on schedule. You will collaborate closely with project managers, contractors, and clients to provide precise cost estimates, control expenditures, and manage contractual matters. Your role is pivotal in maximizing value and minimizing financial risk throughout the project life-cycle.

Key responsibilities:

• Monitor project budgets and expenditures to ensure adherence to financial constraints and identity cost saving opportunities.
• Acquire quotation for cost assessment, analysis or budgeting purposes.
• Prepare tendering documents, measurements, and bills of quantities.
• Review contract documents and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
• Identify potential risks and opportunities for cost savings throughout the project life-cycle.
• Maintain accurate records of project costs, payments, and variations.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, and contractors to optimize project outcomes.
• Track changes to the design and/or construction work and adjust budget projections accordingly.
• Coordinate with Finance and Purchasing department on payments and materials purchasing.
• Assist in the preparation and negotiation of construction contracts, variations and claims.
• Prepare regular progress reports and financial forecasts.
• Any ad-hoc that required by management from time to time.

Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least a Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building/ Civil Engineering or related field.
• With at least 2 years of relevant working experience in Construction industry.
• Good communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia, English, and Chinese (to liaise with Chinese speaking workers).
• Strong problem-solving, analytical thinking, communication and negotiation skills.
• Able to work independently with minimum supervision.
• Basic knowledge in methods of measurement, construction contracts, procurement and cost management.
• Familiarity with computer systems and software's i.e. Microsoft and AutoCAD.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresh graduate

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM7,000.00 per month
