Facilities Maintenance Technician(Male Candidates Only)

Are you skilled in facilities maintenance and eager to play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of a university's buildings and hostels? We are seeking dedicated and experienced candidates to join our team as a Facilities Maintenance Specialist.

Job Responsibilities:

Maintenance and Repairs:

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs of hostel buildings, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC systems, and other technical aspects.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance needs and safety concerns.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies.

Facilities Management:

• Oversee the general upkeep of campus and hostel common areas.
• Ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards are maintained.
• Coordinate with cleaning and maintenance staff as needed.
• Technical Support
• Provide technical support and assistance to students and staff residing on campus and in hostels.
• Address technical issues related to room appliances and fixtures.

Inventory Management:

• Maintain an inventory of tools, equipment, and spare parts necessary for maintenance and repairs.
• Ensure that inventory levels are adequate and reorder supplies as needed.

Health and Safety Compliance:

• Ensure that campus and hostel facilities comply with health and safety regulations.
• Conduct safety inspections and report any hazards or violations.
• Assist in emergency evacuation procedures.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
• Prepare reports on the condition of campus and hostel facilities and any necessary improvements.

Customer Service:

• Provide excellent customer service to students and staff, addressing their needs and concerns promptly and professionally.
• Serve as a point of contact for hostel-related inquiries.

Job Specifications:

• Diploma or certificate in a relevant technical field (e.g., electrical, plumbing, HVAC).
• Proven experience in maintenance and repair work, preferably in a residential or hostel setting.
• Strong technical knowledge and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
