Jawatan Kosong Malaysia - Boarding Officer in Pasir Gudang

Business Need / Purpose of Role

• Handle all inward and outward clearance for vessels calls
• Liaise with Port Authorities, Immigration Authority, Customs, Vessel Berthing, and Operation movement.
• Prepare summary of vessels condition and sailing report, etc.
• Handle trading certs, post stage control and class surveyor
• Organized and coordinate transportation for crew, owner representatives, surveyor, and etc
• Assist in vetting work for schedule updating and input/output of data.
• Preparing of necessary documents for delivery, i.e shipyard permit, port authority approval & etc.
• Filing and records document from vessel (voyage)
• Provide regular information and to assist with the compilation of reports.
• Keeping close update and communication with Principal and vessel/Supt/Owner’s relating to vessel matters and requirements.
• Other adhoc duties as assigned by Superior.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Prior knowledge of Maritime operations, Local law and regulations.
• Communication skills to engage terminal representatives, principal and/or vessels.
• Adept at Port and Immigration documentation
  
• Proficiency at basic computer skills including MS office and MS outlook.
• Must be professional in conduct and practice, and also reliable as each report are time critical.
• Creative, responsive and adaptive in a dynamic environment

Education/Experience

• At least 1 year of working experience either In ship agency service industry or In Oil/Gas/Offshore industry as engine or deck cadet
• At least GCE “O” Level with credit in English and Mathematics
• Diploma in Maritime Studies - Preferred
