Jawatan Kosong Food Technologist in Kuala Terengganu

-responsible for ensuring food products are safe, high quality, and meet industry regulations as well as developing new food products, improving existing ones, and ensuring compliance with food safety standards.

Job Responsibilities:

Product Development:

• Research and develop new food products.
• Improve the taste, texture, and shelf-life of existing products.
• Conduct sensory evaluations and product testing.

Food Safety & Quality Assurance:

• Ensure food products meet safety and regulatory standards.
• Develop and implement food safety and quality control procedures.
• Conduct inspections and oversee production processes.

Research & Innovation:

• Study new ingredients and food processing technologies.
• Collaborate with food scientists, engineers, and manufacturers.
• Keep up with industry trends and consumer preferences.

Regulatory Compliance:

• Ensure all food products comply with local and international food safety laws.
• Maintain documentation for audits and inspections.
• Work with government agencies for certification and approvals.

Process Optimization:

• Improve food processing and packaging techniques.
• Reduce production costs while maintaining quality.
• Implement sustainability practices in food production.

Job Requirements:

• Education:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology, or a related field.
• Skills & Competencies:
• Strong knowledge of food chemistry, microbiology, and nutrition.
• Familiarity with food safety standards (e.g., HACCP, ISO 22000, FDA, FSSAI).
• Experience in product formulation and testing.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a laboratory and production environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience:
• Entry-level positions may require internships or projects in food technology.
• Mid-to-senior-level roles typically require 2–5 years of industry experience.
• Certifications (Preferred but not required):
• HACCP Certification
• Food Safety & Quality Certification
• GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) Training

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM2,500.00 per month
