About the role

You'll be a champion for quality within our organization. You'll play a critical role in optimizing processes across all operational stages, ensuring everything runs smoothly and meets our rigorous quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and administer policies to ensure Process Quality Team is working towards company policy and department's objectives / KPI / Quality Improvement Programs.
• Administer company activities i.e. (food safety/quality) management systems (e.g., GMP, HACCP, FSSC), RSPO, Halal, EHS (Environment, Health and Safety), etc. to ensure compliance to relevant standards, policies, statutory / regulatory and customers’ requirements.
• Plan, organize and coordinate jobs to ensure safe, reliable and efficient operations in Process Quality Team.
• Oversee laboratory condition, functionality of equipment and testing.
• Plan, develop, update, and maintain overall quality inspection plans for raw materials, in-process and finished products.
• Ensure the raw materials and finished products quality is within specification and released in accordance with the relevant procedure.
• Ensure non-conforming raw/primary packaging materials and/or finished products are handled in accordance with relevant procedures.
• Support in analyzing and troubleshooting of non-conformances (CARs / customer complaint) and coordinating Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action Plan.
• Administer (on-job) training and training need analysis.
• Prepare and/or review daily, monthly and/or yearly reports / trending analysis in key process for continual improvement.
• Ensure prompt communication with superior on any food safety and quality issues / abnormality observed during production / testing / inspection.
• Perform other tasks and assignment as and when required by top management from time to time.

Qualifications and skills

• Candidate must possess at least a university degree in Food Science & Technology, Chemistry, or other Science disciplines.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in food manufacturing industry supervisory role with sound technical knowledge in setting up and executing GLP, GMP, HACCP, FSSC, Halal, etc. requirements and process control procedures.
• Strong background in food chemistry, sensory, microbiology, food packaging systems and food engineering is an added advantage.
• Strong leadership with excellent interpersonal / communication, coaching and conflict management skills and able to work with cross-functional teams at multi-levels within the organization.
• Self-motivated, able to drive continuous improvement and change management initiatives.
