About the Role
We are seeking an accomplished Plant Director to oversee and drive end-to-end manufacturing operations in a metal-based, CNC-intensive environment. This senior leadership role requires a proven track record in semiconductor, precision engineering, or stainless steel manufacturing, with direct oversight of CNC machining and special processes such as electropolishing (EP), passivation, and anodizing. The Plant Director will lead production, quality, maintenance, cleaning, polishing, and all supporting functions to ensure operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the full spectrum of plant operations including CNC machining, production, QA/QC, special processes, and facility maintenance.
• Oversee scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow optimization to meet output, quality, and delivery targets.
• Ensure adherence to industry standards, safety regulations, and ISO/IATF requirements.
• Drive process improvements using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and 5S principles.
• Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to implement robust process controls and resolve production issues.
• Lead root cause analysis for quality and efficiency challenges, implementing effective corrective actions.
• Manage and develop senior supervisors, engineers, and technical teams to achieve operational KPIs.
• Maintain a high-performance culture emphasizing accountability, continuous improvement, and safety.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a GM/Director-level plant leadership role.
• Mandatory hands-on experience with CNC machining and metal-based manufacturing.
• Demonstrated experience with special surface processes such as EP, passivation, or anodizing.
• Proven success in managing large cross-functional teams and budgets.
• Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.

Preferred Industry Background

• Semiconductor, precision engineering, or stainless steel manufacturing.
• Not suitable for candidates from foam, plastic, rubber, ceramic, glove, or packaging industries.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to RM30,000.00 per month
