Jawatan Kosong Health and Safety Coordinator in Kuching

The position is an administrative position at the Sarawak Campus. The position assists the Health and Safety Executive and is responsible for areas as designated by the Manager, Building Facilities. Currently, these include:

• Support and assist in promoting a positive health and safety culture. This represents a key role in helping control occupational risk;
• Ensure that all safety legislation is adhered to, and policies and practices are adopted; and
• Support and assist in planning, implementing, monitoring and reviewing the protective and preventative measures that the University is required, or chooses to follow, and work to minimise operational losses, occupational health problems, accidents and injuries. This position will also be required to work closely with other staff members on campus to ensure all the building fire systems are in operational, legal certification related to building, fire system, machinery and other equipment are up-to-date.
