Position Summary:
We are seeking highly skilled and dedicated Operating Theatre Nurses to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide specialized nursing care during all stages of surgical procedures, ensuring the safe and efficient functioning of the operating theatre. This role is crucial in delivering high-quality patient care and maintaining a sterile and safe surgical environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare the operating theatre and ensure all necessary instruments, equipment, and supplies are available and in proper condition before surgery.
• Assist the surgical team during procedures by providing instruments and materials as needed.
• Monitor patients' vitals before, during, and after surgery, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
• Provide immediate post-operative care and monitor patients during recovery.
• Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of surgical procedures, patient conditions, and medications administered.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best outcomes for patients.
• Ensure strict adherence to infection control practices and sterile techniques throughout the procedure.
• Participate in pre-operative assessments and briefings to ensure patient preparedness.
• Respond quickly and efficiently in emergencies, demonstrating strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid Malaysian Nursing Board registration.
• Perioperative Post Basic Certification is mandatory.
• At least 2-3 years of experience working in an operating theatre or surgical environment.
• Proven knowledge of perioperative nursing and sterile techniques.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications are highly desirable.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to remain calm under pressure.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in a range of surgeries, including general surgery, orthopedics, or cardiovascular procedures.
• Ability to handle emergency situations with a high degree of confidence and efficiency.
• Proficient in using electronic medical records (EMR) and documentation software.
