What role you will play in the team

You will be an integral part of our engineering team providing deep technical insights from a process technology fleet perspective and support to ExxonMobil’s chemicals manufacturing facilities and supply chain/commercial activities globally. Position is based in Kuala Lumpur.

This position is not limited to Malaysians only.

What you will do

• Develop, deploy and act as the single point of contact for specific data science problems within maintenance domain, technology support, uptake and value generation.
• Develop new models using Timeseries modeling/NLP/Computer vision using python and/or integrating 3rd party tools with EM data/platforms
• Support training and documentation for the same
• Evaluate and leverage 3rd party tools where applicable
• Understand maintenance workflow and enhancements requests and develop new model/features and testing plan.
• Demonstrate industry leadership at conferences or via publications/patents (when applicable)

About you

Skills and Qualifications

What you should have

• Degree in one of the following disciplines: engineering, computer science or related disciplines
• Working knowledge of at least one of the programming languages (Python/C++/others)
• Interest in upskilling in Timeseries modeling/Machine learning/Deep learning, learn about cloud technologies
• Completed basic online courses/certification in data science or related subject
• Initiative to learn new things, E.g. learning technology development and delivery
• Open to fresh graduates and experienced professionals

Nice to have

• Understanding of surface engineering concepts
• Understanding of Machine learning or deep learning concepts
• Understanding of supply chain concepts
