JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
1.To be responsible to the Home/Centre Manager through the Nurse-In-Charge in the daily nursing activities of the Home.
2. To assist the Nurse-In-Charge on the daily activities of the residents, the staff duties and other areas of responsibility.
3. To stand-in for the Nurse-In-Charge while she is off-duty at all times.
4. To ensure all nursing care carried out comply with the nursing standard set by the Ministry of Health.
5. To order, pack, prepare, serve all medication for the residents.
6. To give injections, take blood pressure, recording, write reports, etc.
7. To do the nursing care plan for all residents and update the nursing progress notes for all residents daily to meet with the requirements of the Ministry of Health.
8. To do/supervise all dressings and ensure it conforms to the Ministry of Health’s nursing rules and regulations.
9. To maintain properly the log book on the medicine for controlled drugs in the Home.
10. To maintain properly the log book on the daily activities in the Home.
11. To liaise closely with the respective hospital, resident’s next-of-kins on the daily medical appointment for all the residents in the Home.
12. To liaise closely and attend to our Home’s Doctor as and when necessary.
13. To supervise and perform physiotherapy session for those residents in need and closely monitor their condition in the daily session.
14. To hold training session on first aid and nursing procedures for emergencies to all junior staff. Eg. the Nursing Aides & Assistant Nurses.
15. To teach all new/old staff on the correct usage of nursing equipment needed in case of emergency. Eg. Mucus Suction Pump, Oxygen Therapy Unit. I/V Drip etc.
16. To be 24 hours “on call” basis and to attend to emergencies at all times.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Temporary, Freelance, Fresh graduate
Pay: RM1,500.00 - RM3,000.00 per month
