This position reports to

Service Sales Manager

Your role and responsibilities

Formulates competitive bids, taking into account best available product mix and appropriate technical and commercial considerations.
Ensures tenders are well documented in a timely manner and with an appropriate level of detail, including full and accurate costs.
Manages the preparation of all technical and if necessary project management aspects of the bid, indicating prices and trading conditions.
In accordance with bid planning, ensures that inputs for editing activities are provided on time and according to established quality procedures.
Manages external services to support bid/estimation preparation such as translations and governmental approvals.
Collects and archives documentation regarding the offer/order and records assumptions and decisions taken and regularly reports the status.
Identifies potential risks in the bids and in any related contract agreements across customers/channels. Provides information and/or participates in the Risk Review process in accordance with ABB policy.
Responsible for collecting and collating all information needed to prepare the proposal, including both technical and cost elements.
Establishes and maintains effective customer relationships.
Identifies potential vendors for equipment and materials required in the project and technically evaluates supplier.

Qualifications for the role

• Degree majored in Automation & Electrical Engineering or any equivalent qualification.
• More than 5 years plus working experience in Tendering/Bid in the Automation industry (Power Generation, Oil & Gas, Chemical & Refinery and Petrochemicals.)
• Prior and proven experience working ABB portfolio/Automation Technology, especially for Control System and Electrical solutions are mandatory.
• Pricing and negotiation skills with Vendor/Client/EPC/Contractor etc and ability to lead/front tender discussions.
• Leadership through influence, problem solving, teamworking, communication, result orientation complete the profile
• Fluency in English is a must, both written and spoken. Full proficiency in local language represents an advantage
