Tanjung Food Hub is looking for dedicated and motivated Commis Chefs to join our growing kitchen team in WP Labuan. This opportunity is open to candidates at Commis 3, Commis 2, and Commis 1 level who are passionate about food, eager to learn, and ready to grow in a professional kitchen environment.

At Tanjung Food Hub, you will gain hands-on experience, structured training, and clear career progression within a dynamic kitchen operation focused on quality, discipline, and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in ingredient preparation, including cutting, washing, weighing, and portioning.
• Prepare mise en place before service.
• Perform basic to semi-skilled cooking tasks under the supervision of senior chefs.
• Ensure food is prepared according to SOP, taste standards, portion control, and presentation standards.
• Practice proper stock rotation using FIFO.
• Maintain cleanliness of workstations, kitchen equipment, and kitchen areas.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and Halalan Toyyiban standards.
• Support the kitchen team during service to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Report stock shortages, equipment issues, or operational concerns to the supervisor.

Requirements

• Malaysian citizen / PR / complete working documents.
• Minimum SPM qualification; basic culinary certification is an added advantage.
• Strong interest in culinary work and kitchen operations.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Disciplined, punctual, hardworking, and a good team player.
• Experience in a commercial kitchen is an added advantage.
• Position level will be offered based on experience and skill level.
