Reports To

Manager, Technical and Planning

Role Purpose

• To manage MW Continuing Airworthiness Management aircraft maintenance programme, reliability and engineering activities.
• To ensure that company's aircraft, engine, component and associated equipment perform to specification as required by company and Civil Aviation Authority Malaysia (CAAM).
• To ensure the availability of sub-contractor technical specialists to support maintenance.
• To liaise with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) and other operationally relevant

Key Accountability

• To develop and control a maintenance programme for the aircraft managed including any applicable reliability programme as required by CAAM. Present the aircraft maintenance programme and its amendments to the CAAM for approval.
• To analyze the effectiveness of the Aircraft Maintenance Programme as required by CAAM. To implement and maintain an efficient reliability program and also set up research and studies to investigate the possibility of technical improvements.
• To manage the approval of modification, repairs and embodiment, and Non-mandatory modification embodiment policy.
• To manage Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletin and other airworthiness data affecting MW fleet of aircrafts to ensure the continuing airworthiness impact on the approved documentations were reviewed and are applied accordingly.
• To initiate, evaluate, select and, upon careful technical and regulatory considerations, accept approved modifications/alterations for incorporation on MW aircraft, engines, components and associated equipment for the purpose of maintaining and improving their quality of performance and reliability.
• To ensure that the aircraft is taken to an appropriately approved maintenance organisation whenever necessary for maintenance/modifications.
• To coordinate scheduled maintenance, the application of airworthiness directives, the replacement of service life limited parts, and component inspection to ensure the work is carried out properly.
• To rectify of all defects; ensure that all defects discovered during scheduled maintenance or reported are corrected by an appropriately approved maintenance organization.
• To ensure that all maintenance is carried out in accordance with the approved maintenance programme and released in accordance with the regulations.

Qualification & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related discipline required with 3 years’ experience in Engineering & Maintenance or Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer with 4 years in Engineering & Maintenance.

Skills & Knowledge

• High knowledge in Engineering & Maintenance Planning Documents, system and process, particularly Technical Records.
• Relevant knowledge and experience in Project / Programme management.
• Knowledge on airlines industry
• Able to converse in English and Bahasa Malaysia languages. Other language (s) are added advantage

Key Challenges

• Must be able to work independently and able to handle pressure and extended working hours.
• Must have a pleasant disposition and possess excellent interpersonal communication and negotiation
