Jawatan Kosong Deburring & Polishing Operator in Penang Deburring & Polishing Operator Life Unlimited. At Smith+Nephew we craft and manufacture technology that takes the limits off living.
What will you be doing?
The successful candidate will be tasked with performing job assignments related to the deburring and polishing process. This includes operating machines for grit blasting, tumbling, sand belting, drag polishing, and in-progress ultrasonic cleaning. The responsible person must follow procedures and work instructions, conduct timely maintenance on equipment, and perform visual inspections using manual gauges.

• Proficient in all machining functions, ensuring a comprehensive product identification and traceability understanding.
• Conducts line clearance, deburring, and polishing in adherence to Work Instructions and Work Scheduler.
• Competent in performing SAP transactions, deburring processes, and visual checks, and actively participates in maintaining 5S for increased productivity and safety.
• Adheres to safety practices, including wearing required protective gear, and actively participates in process improvement and Kaizen teams for increased process efficiencies.
• Maintains 5S practices on the shop floor, performs tasks as requested by the Team Leader, and ensures completion of vital documentation, including scrap records, training records, and job-specific training.

What will you need to be successful?

• Preferred qualifications include experience in a machining manufacturing environment, a steady hand for detailed handwork, and a preference for prior experience in similar metal removal, polishing, and visual inspection processes.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English, quick assimilation of information, strong decision-making abilities, and the capability to thrive in a fast-paced and evolving work environment.
• Involves lifting products/materials of varying weights and sizes, requiring frequent engagement in carrying, reaching, bending, and standing activities that apply to the hands, wrists, and upper extremities.
