Job Summary – Procurement Officer

Ensures employer obtains quality products for competitive prices in a timely given. Plays an integral role in ensuring a company sticks to budgets and operates profitably.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities

• Monitor ongoing compliance with purchasing policies and procedures
• Direct procurement policies to ensure all items are purchased and delivered within budget and time constraints
• Identify and source new suppliers and vendors
• Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers and vendors
• Negotiate and administer purchasing agreements and contracts with suppliers in support of organizational requirements
• Work with relevant departments to manage inventory requirements
• Facilitate timely placement of purchase orders
• Review purchase orders for proper authorization and compliance with organizational policy and procedure.
• File data and related information, maintain and update databases.
• Support procurement departments with administration work
• Follow instructions and performs other duties as may be assigned by your Head of Department.

Education and Experience

• Candidate must possess at least Diploma, Professional Degree, Business Studies/Administration/Management, Economics, Materials Management or related field
• Welcome Fresh Graduates with or without experience, training will be provided.
• working knowledge of all laws and regulations relating to procurement and contract
• Good command of English and Malay with acceptable communication writing skills
• Required skills: Windows, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word.
• high competency level in MS Office applications
• ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously to meet goals and deadlines

• Reliable, punctual, mature, responsible and willing to learn.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM1,700.00 - RM2,500.00 per month
