Responsibilities:

• To advise the employer on measures to be taken in the interests of safety and health of persons employed in the work place.
• To implement and enforce safety regulations and procedures on construction sites.
• To conduct regular inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• To develop and deliver safety training programs for site personnel.
• To investigate accidents and incidents, and recommend preventive measures.
• To collaborate with project managers and contractors to address safety concerns and implement corrective actions.
• To maintain records of safety inspections, incidents, and training sessions.
• To monitor the progress of construction projects and ensure compliance with construction safety regulations.
• To supervise construction workers and subcontractors and educate construction workers on site safety practices.
• To implement and monitor requirement outlined in the Safety and Health Plan and Emergency Response Plan.

Requirement:

• Possess a recognized degree or diploma certificate in any field.
• Have valid Safety and Health Officer (SHO) competency from DOSH.
• Have knowledge and experience in construction fields.
• Able to conduct high quality and detailed Risk Assessment e.g. HIRARC.
• Able to conduct high quality Incident Reporting and Investigation including the root cause analysis (RCA) and Human Factor Analysis.
• Have sound knowledge and technical skills on Project EHS Management, Environmental Management, Safe Work Practices program e.g. heavy lifting, working at height, confined space and others.
• Willing to travel and be relocated.
• Experience in supervising TNB substation projects is an added advantage.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Contract length: 12 months
