Business Development Manager (Partnership Focus)
Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – Remote/Home-based (Extensive domestic travel required across Malaysia)
Salary Range: MYR 170,000 per annum (Negotiable, based on experience)

The Opportunity

We are seeking an ambitious and results-driven Business Development Manager to lead our partnership and market expansion efforts in Malaysia. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in chemical or manufacturing sales who thrives on building long-term business relationships. The position requires extensive domestic travel to establish contracts, develop supplier and agent networks, and ensure compliance with our standards of quality and service.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and expand markets and distribution channels for water-based coatings in Malaysia
• Define and execute effective sales and business growth strategies
• Manage key accounts, coordinate logistics, and oversee after-sales support
• Drive pricing strategies, lead contract negotiations, and ensure timely payment collections
• Conduct market research and intelligence on competitors, pricing trends, and regulatory requirements
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including logistics, technical support, and regional business units to deliver customer success

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Business, or related field
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in manufacturing, chemical industry, or international trade sales
• Fluent in Chinese and English (Malay proficiency is an added advantage)
• Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills
• Willingness to travel extensively (50–70% of working time) within Malaysia
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes/chemical raw materials industry is preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to RM170,000.00 per year
