ALLOWANCE: RM1,500.00 Monthly

SENIORITY LEVEL: Internship

FUNCTION: Finance – Tax Compliance

LOCATION: Bandar Sunway, Selangor, Malaysia

ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES

This role support to handle the tasks in Tax Compliance team, learn different types of Tax or Financial reporting work and internal and external report submissions.

Reports to: Assistant Manager, Statutory Reporting and Projects

Reporting Level: Individual Contributor

Geographic Scope: Asia Pacific Middle East, Africa

WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR

• Build, update, and modify files pertaining to Withholding Tax / Sales and Services Tax
• Explore and learn how to extract information from ERP software, analysis and third-party software used for different projects
• Development of new skills on engaging with own team and other stakeholders

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

• Minimum Bachelor Degree or equivalent experience in Accounting/Finance or similar qualifications (e.g. ACCA / CPA)
• Good command of English spoken and written
• Basic computer programming understanding – MS Office (Excel, Words, PPT)
• Good verbal/written communication skills and interpersonal skills
• Works well to tight deadlines
• Pragmatic/lateral approach to finding solutions
• Detail-oriented, analytical, proactive, and able to work in team
• Proactive and ability to work under own initiative
