About the job

Based at the Mandarin Oriental, Kuala Lumpur / within the Materials Management Department in Kuala Lumpur, the Materials agent is responsible to ensuring that the hotel obtains the quality and quantity of goods ordered at the agreed prices. Materials Agent reports to the Assistant Materials Manager / Materials Manager.

As Materials Agent, you will be responsible for the following duties:

• 
  Comply with all legislation affecting the operation, including licensing regulations, health regulations and fire and safety regulations
• Assist in preparation of various daily and periodical Food and Beverage reports and analysis
• To continuously suggest ways of improving processes and methods to improve on efficiency and productivity
• To adhere to all operating standards and procedures in the areas of issuing order
• To understand and practice the Mandarin Oriental standards
• To have a complete understanding of and adhere to the company’s policy relating to fire, hygiene and safety

As Materials Agent, we expect from you:

• 
  High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1-year hands-on experience in a similar capacity or equivalent
• Able to stay calm under pressure.
