Job Description:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Manager to lead and manage construction projects in Kuala Perlis. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the entire project lifecycle, ensuring that the project is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety. The Project Manager will be the main point of contact for all stakeholders and will be responsible for effective project planning, coordination, and execution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage construction projects from initiation to completion, ensuring project objectives are met.
• Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, and ensure adherence to timelines and costs.
• Coordinate and communicate with clients, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
• Monitor project progress, identify any risks or issues, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, building codes, and safety standards on-site.
• Manage project resources, including manpower, materials, and equipment, to optimize efficiency.
• Conduct regular site meetings, review progress reports, and provide updates to stakeholders.
• Manage and review contracts, variations, and claims, ensuring that all legal and financial obligations are met.
• Ensure effective quality control processes are implemented throughout the project.
• Manage project documentation and maintain accurate records of all activities, decisions, and communications.
• Provide leadership and guidance to the project team, ensuring that all team members are aligned with project goals and deliverables.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 6-7 years of experience in project management, with a focus on construction or civil engineering projects.
• Certifications:
• CIDB Certification (Essential).
• Registered with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) or equivalent is an advantage.
• Skills:
• Strong knowledge of project management processes, methodologies, and best practices.
• Proficient in Microsoft Project, Excel, and Word for project planning, reporting, and documentation.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and under pressure.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Knowledge of construction contracts, procurement processes, and financial management.
• Ability to manage project budgets, cost control, and procurement processes.
• Language: Proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia and English (both written and spoken).
• Other Requirements:
• Ability to travel and work on-site in Kuala Perlis.
• A proactive and results-oriented approach to project management.
• Valid driver’s license.
