Role Overview

The FMCG Salesperson at Kim Teck Cheong is responsible for selling fast-moving consumer goods to walk-in customers and regular trade clients, maintaining strong customer relationships, and ensuring smooth daily sales operations. This role requires product knowledge, speed, accuracy, and good customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Customer Service

• Serve walk-in retail customers, wholesalers, and regular trade clients.
• Understand customer needs and recommend suitable FMCG products.
• Promote new products, deals, and bulk purchase offers.
• Build and maintain good relationships with repeat customers.
• Handle customer feedback, enquiries, and basic complaints professionally.

Product & Inventory Handling

• Handle a wide range of FMCG products (food & beverage, household items, daily essentials, etc.).
• Ensure shelves and displays are fully stocked, neat, and properly labelled.
• Monitor stock movement and inform supervisor of fast-selling or low-stock items.
• Assist in receiving, checking, and arranging incoming stock.
• Rotate stock to ensure FIFO (First-In-First-Out) and minimize expiry issues.

Sales Transactions

• Process payment methods accurately.
• Issue receipts and ensure correct pricing during promotions.
• Maintain daily sales records and basic reporting if required.

Store Operations

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of sales floor and storage areas.
• Follow company SOPs, safety, and hygiene standards.

Requirements & Skills

• Experience in FMCG sales, retail, or wholesale trade is preferred.
• Knowledge of FMCG products and fast-moving inventory is an advantage.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, high-volume sales environment.
• Honest, reliable, and detail-oriented.
• Basic numeracy and ability to handle transactions accurately.
• Physically fit to handle cartons and stand for long hours.
