1. Job Purpose

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for supervising daily maintenance operations, ensuring that all guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities are well maintained, safe, and functioning efficiently in accordance with hotel standards and safety regulations.

2. Key Responsibilities

Supervision & Operations

• Supervise and coordinate daily maintenance activities for guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities.
• Assign work orders and monitor progress to ensure timely completion.
• Conduct routine inspections of rooms and facilities to identify defects and maintenance needs.
• Ensure preventive maintenance schedules are implemented effectively.

Technical & Maintenance Works

• Oversee maintenance works including air-conditioning, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and basic civil works.
• Attend to emergency repairs and urgent maintenance issues promptly.
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of tools, equipment, and materials.

Coordination & Communication

• Coordinate closely with Housekeeping and Front Office on room defects and room readiness.
• Liaise with contractors and service providers for specialized repair works.
• Provide clear handover and updates during shift changes.

Safety, Compliance & Documentation

• Ensure compliance with hotel SOPs, safety standards, and statutory requirements (e.g. DOSH, fire safety).
• Assist in maintaining maintenance records, logs, and inspection reports.
• Support workplace safety initiatives and emergency response procedures.

People Management

• Guide, train, and supervise maintenance staff to ensure quality workmanship.
• Monitor attendance, discipline, and performance of assigned team members.
• Promote teamwork and a safe working culture within the department.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM2,700.00 - RM3,700.00 per month
