We are a group of chain pharmacies, focusing on servicing local communities and promoting pharmaceutical cares in the Northern region in Malaysia. Our outlets are located in various strategic locations of Penang island.

About the role

We are seeking a Fully Registered Pharmacist, who will be responsible for overseeing the operations and performance of our retail outlet. Your objective will be to ensure consistent adherence to operational standards, achieve sales targets, provide exceptional customer service, and drive overall profitability. You will also be responsible for managing and developing a team of retail staff, and keeping a good communication between outlet and headquarter/warehouse.

This role is based Batu Ferringhi, Penang and reports directly to the Senior Manager, Pharmacy Outlets.

Outlet Location : Gold River Pharmacy (Batu Ferringhi)
No. 9, Lorong Sungai Emas, Kawasan Perumahan Sungai Emas, 11100 Batu Ferringhi, Pulau Pinang

A summary of the key responsibilities are as follows:

• Perform Pharmacist duties as required including ensuring that products / services comply with the latest pharmacy regulations and policies
• Ensure up to date records are maintained
• Adhere to the requirements according to related pharmacy legislation
• Provide drug information to customers
• Ensure that the medication prices are updated in systems
• Manage medication inventory
• Floor staff training and development
• Outlet performance reporting
• Other ad hoc duties as required

About you

• Degree in Pharmacy with minimum 2 years of retail pharmacy experience. KKM FRP is encouraged to apply, especially those with locum experience.
• Able to communicate (spoken and written) in Malay and English. Mandarin and local dialects proficiency is an added advantage.
• Working knowledge of CRM applications, formulary policies, pharmacy & therapeutics policy and procedures
• Proficient in using IT tools such as Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word & Google Drive
• Able to multi-task effectively including managing multiple projects simultaneously and managing multiple different timelines
• A start-up attitude - you take full ownership of things that you do, willing to go out of your comfort zones and take on new challenges.
• Comfortable with ambiguity and flexible to learn new things - we’re not done growing, and heading into uncharted territories is part of the fun!
