We are seeking a collaborative, self-motivated and experienced professional to join our dynamic communication and marketing team. The role of the Internal Communications Specialist is pivotal to strategize, implement and track programs for internal employees that increase morale and affinity toward Micron’s leadership in Malaysia. The role will work closely with the country communication manager in Malaysia, while liaising with the relevant departments to strategize and implement internal communication activities, deliver site communications for internal team members, and enhance team member’s experience through communications, highlighting Micron’s key role in fueling future technologies, operational excellence, sustainability and people related topics.

The role is based in Micron Memory Malaysia in Batu Kawan, Penang and will be reporting to the Manager of Malaysia Communications and Marketing. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on our brand’s presence in the Malaysia market.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead comprehensive communications and engagement strategies to enhance the team member’s experience to position Micron as an employer of choice.
• Be agile to manage and execute internal communications to ensure employees are well-informed and engaged.
• Collaborate with various departments to create and disseminate content that aligns with the Micron’s vision, mission, strategies and values.
• Monitor and analyze communication metrics to measure the effectiveness of communication strategies and make data-driven improvements.
• Support the development and dissemination of promotional collaterals (e.g. video, newsletter, and content copywriting) in accordance with Micron’s corporate voice for different internal channel needs.
• Optimize and pioneer new internal communication approaches to enable rich and personalized communications at scale.
• Establish and innovate on frameworks and playbooks to drive efficiency for how the team delivers on key internal initiatives.
• Consult site function teams and assist with alignment to corporate brand guidelines, with support from Asia creative hub.

Required skills:

• Strong project management skills with the ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
• Relationship management skills to manage cross-function communications with internal stakeholders.
• Ability to optimally influence internal partners on implementing communications standard processes.
• Abilities in basic photography/ videography and video-editing are advantageous.
• Understanding of the semiconductor industry and its key players is preferred.
• Ability to stay updated on industry trends and best practices to deliver innovative and impactful events.
• Growth mindset in implementing new ideas and ensuring personal growth.
• Excellent attention to details.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, mass communication, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing and executing campaign planning and execution.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships.
• Fluency in English is required, while other languages will be advantageous.
