Jawatan Kosong Logistic Manager in Kuala Kedah

Job Summary

To oversee and manage the overall logistics, transportation, and distribution operations of the company. The Logistic Manager ensures efficient, cost-effective, and timely movement of goods while maintaining compliance with regulations, safety standards, and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

1. Logistics Operations

Plan, coordinate, and monitor inbound and outbound logistics, transportation, and warehouse activities.

Oversee scheduling of shipments, route planning, and timely delivery of goods.

Ensure proper documentation and compliance with customs, shipping, and regulatory requirements.

2. Team Leadership & Management

Supervise, train, and evaluate logistics staff (drivers, coordinators, warehouse staff).

Develop work schedules, assign duties, and monitor team performance.

Implement disciplinary and performance improvement measures where necessary.

3. Vendor & Stakeholder Management

Liaise with shipping lines, forwarding agents, customs, and transport providers.

Negotiate contracts with vendors and service providers to optimize cost and service quality.

Maintain strong relationships with internal departments, suppliers, and clients.

4. Process & Compliance

Ensure compliance with safety, security, and environmental regulations.

Implement SOPs for logistics and transport operations.

Monitor inventory, cargo handling, and documentation accuracy.

5. Cost & Performance Management

Monitor and control logistics costs, budgets, and expenses.

Track KPIs such as delivery lead time, transport costs, fleet utilization, and customer satisfaction.

Prepare regular reports for management on logistics performance.

6. Continuous Improvement

Identify gaps and inefficiencies in the supply chain process.

Implement digital tools and automation where relevant.

Lead continuous improvement projects to enhance service and reduce cost.
