Jawatan Kosong Quantity Surveyor Assistant in Alor Setar

Quantity Surveyor Assistant Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform calculation on materials require for every confirmed project.
• Perform calculation on estimated pricing.
• Check 'progress claim' from sub-contractors, prior to obtaining approval from QS Exec.
• Compare supplier / sub-con qoute on material / service needed for projects and prepares quotation to client.
• Observe all VO variation orders are well recorded and claimed from client.
• Negotiate & co-ordinate between purchaser, sub-contractors, manufactires and vendors.
• Prepare pre & post project budget, progress claim, projected cash flow, tender documentatios and final accounts.
• Fill in sub-contractors retention sum of 5% during project claim by sub-contractors.
• Assist in the daily project site operations and documentations are in line with the SOP.
• Prepare progress claim and invoice to client, upon QS Exec approval.
• Check client payment, prior to carrying out progress claim (for long term project) and notify QS Exec.
• Monitor all contractual record with clients and suppliers are comply as to protect the companys interest at all time.
• Verify sub-contractors claim / progress claim for MD's approval.
• Updates the 'Approval Supplier / Sub-contractors List' annually to MD's approval.
• Issue 'word orders' to sub-cons when require.
• Any other responsibilities as intructed by superior thats related to Quantity Surveyors job scope.

Requirements and Qualifications*

• Diploma in quantity surveying, construction engineering, management, or related field
• 1-2 of general construction estimating experience, financial experience, construction experience, or related field
• Proficient in computer skills and Microsoft Office Suite
• Able to analyze financial records and apply data to improved results
• Strong aptitude for numbers, spreadsheets, and financial reports
• Experienced at compiling and following strict budgets; strong estimating and financial analysis skills
• In-depth understanding of construction, materials, pricing, and industry
• Able to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM1,800.00 - RM2,500.00 per month
