What's the Role:
As a Before Cast/Production Manager within the Bradken, Merlimau facility, you will oversee Before Cast operations, coordinating activities across the pattern shop, Reclaiming, Moulding, and Melting sections and deliver high-quality products for wear solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and drive technical excellence within the organization.
Your role encompasses planning, coordinating, and controlling manufacturing processes, prioritizing safety and sustainability while ensuring efficient production of goods and services at the optimal cost and quality.
Your responsibilities include supervising Before Cast processes, schedules, and quality control measures to ensure timely delivery. Daily personnel management within designated areas is essential to meet company targets and customer requirements, ensuring adherence to health, safety, and standard operating procedures.
You will provide guidance and support to enhance plant efficiency and effectiveness, actively seeking continuous improvements in quality systems and manufacturing processes to reduce costs.
Reporting adverse quality trends and taking corrective action are integral aspects of your role, addressing any potential quality issues through analysis of work operations, quality records, and customer feedback.
Your demonstrated expertise in team management and the development and execution of short- and long-term production and organizational plans make you well-suited for this role.
The position is based in Merlimau, Melaka.
Key Technical Criteria
- Bachelors in Metallurgy, Industrial Engineering, Foundry industrial technology or a combination of relevant industry experience
- Metal trade-based education background (pattern making, moulding, technical or similar) preferred.
- Frontline Leadership qualification is desirable.
- Experience working within a heavy manufacturing or foundry environment.
- Experience using ERP systems such as EPICOR, SAP, Oracle, and Microsoft Dynamic will be an advantage.
- Experience working with ISO Standard for Quality, Environment and Safety.
- Experience in managing teams is essential.
- Background in leading Continuous Improvement/Operational Excellence initiatives
- Previous experience in production management, risk management, section head or manager position.
