Jawatan Kosong Oil Palm Estate Manager in Batang Padang

Roles & Responsibilities

• Oversee & manage daily operations of the oil palm estate including but not limited to harvesting, fertilization, pest control, weeding, pruning & cultivation
• Supervise oil palm nurseries, ensuring high-quality seedlings for field and replanting programs. This includes site selection, seed ordering, nursery maintenance, weed and pest control, and adherence to best nursery practices
• Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, regulation & certification (MPOB, MSPO, ISCC)
• Plan and manage estate maintenance, including infrastructure, equipment, and land improvements
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize productivity, yield, and operational efficiency while maintaining environmental sustainability
• Lead, mentor, and motivate a diverse workforce to maintain an effective and positive work culture
• Maintain accurate progress reports, field records, cost expenditures and take corrective action on arising issues
• Engage with local communities, stakeholders, and government agencies to foster positive relationships

Qualifications Required

• Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, agronomy, forestry or related field
• Minimum 5–10 years of experience in oil palm plantation management, with at least 3–5 years in a managerial or executive role
• Strong leadership, people management, and communication skills; able to motivate and manage a diverse team
• Familiarity with industry standards and certifications (MPOB, MSPO, ISCC) and best agricultural practices
• Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia (written and spoken)
• Proficient in agricultural software, MS Office, and data analysis tools
• Physically fit and willing to travel regularly between states
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and budgeting skills
• High integrity, self-motivated, and able to work independently under pressure
