Summary

The Facilities Technician is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and functionality of our facilities by performing preventative maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on various building systems and equipment. You will play a key role in maintaining a safe, comfortable, and productive work environment for our employees.

Detailed Description

• Conduct routine inspections of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire safety equipment.

• Perform preventative maintenance tasks in accordance with established procedures and schedules.

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair minor malfunctions in various building systems.

• Replace faulty equipment components and perform minor repairs.

• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities performed.

• Respond to and resolve facility work orders in a timely and efficient manner.

• To support daily operation

• Assist with special projects as assigned, such as furniture moves or room reconfigurations.

• Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.

• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and procedures.

• May assist with some custodial duties, such as changing light bulbs or replacing filters.

• Any other duties as assigned by the superiors.

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies

• Diploma or equivalent combination of high school education and experience.

• Holding a Chargeman A0 certification is preferred.

• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in facilities maintenance or a related field.

• Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and other utilities.

• Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical problems.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Demands

• Duties of the position are performed in a manufacturing environment with frequent exposure to noise, dust, chemicals, operating machinery, temperature extremes, hazardous substances, etc.
• Duties of the position require periodic light physical effort and exertion including prolonged repetitive motions, sitting in confined workspaces, using tools and equipment, and moving and handling materials.
• Duties of the position may require periodic heavy manual effort and exertion including climbing, lifting, pulling and moving objects over 20 pounds.
