Job Overview:
As an Industrial Designer at Jemco Manufacturing, you will be responsible for spearheading the design and development of innovative retail fixtures, from concept study to fabrication and pilot run. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to translate market insights and customer requirements into robust design solutions that set our products apart. With a keen eye for detail and a passion for creativity, you will generate ideas for new product construction, ensuring they align with the latest market trends and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
● Design and develop new retail fixtures, from initial concept ideation to prototype creation and pilot run.
● Provide concept design for Jemco’s new product lineup.
● Create robust 2D and 3D drawings using CAD software (e.g., Inventor, 3Ds Max) to visualize and communicate design concepts effectively.
● Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, marketing and sales, to gather design requirements and incorporate feedback into the design process.
● Assist in conducting a market research and trend analysis to stay updated on the latest developments in retail fixtures and incorporate relevant insights into product designs.
● Generate innovative ideas for product construction, considering factors such as functionality, aesthetics, and manufacturability.
● Work closely with suppliers and vendors to source materials and components that meet design specifications and quality standards.
● Participate in design reviews and brainstorming sessions to evaluate design concepts, identify potential issues, and propose solutions.
● Ensure adherence to project timelines and budgets, delivering designs that meet or exceed customer expectations while optimizing cost and efficiency.
Qualifications:
● Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, or related field.
● Proven experience working as an Industrial Designer, preferably in the retail fixtures, furniture design or related industry.
● Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Inventor & 3Ds Max) for creating concept design as well as detailed 2D and 3D drawings.
● Strong creative and conceptual thinking skills, with the ability to generate innovative design ideas that address customer needs and market trends.
● Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively convey ideas and work cross-functionally with diverse teams.
● Knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials used in retail fixture production.
● Familiarity with design principles, ergonomic considerations, and industry standards related to retail fixtures.
● Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: RM5,000.00 - RM6,000.00 per month
